Has anyone experienced their beardie "air gulping" ?
Intermittent behavior,
In good health (574g last month, conduct my own fecals as well)
In her enclosure,
occasionally when bathing,
More noticeable now that we're in the winter months (semi-alert brumation, you could say.)
admittedly OCD when it comes to my scaled children....

I do know this behavior is common with other creatures.
Perhaps just as interesting as "eye bulging" ??

Mine does that,he gulps up air they opens his mouth and acts like he is choking!?

I just made my friend take his beardie in with a similar behavior. She was also lethargic, and he thought it was just brumating. Turns out she has respiratory infection. . . vet said this is a very common ailment in the winter months. especially if the temps aren't closely monitored, and get low.

I figured it was due to the mouth rot i noticed, which was the original reason I 'suggested' he take her to the vet. I don't know how he didn't notice it sooner.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
