Ahh! Toe Broken?!!!???!?!

I was giving Zing a bathto wash of applesauce, and as I was going to close the drain, Zing stuck his toe in it! His toe was smashed and he struggled. I released the drain and he looked at me. I ripped him out of the sink and stuck him in his burrito. He is acting fine and moving around, but Im concerned about his toe. There is no apparent damage, but when it got closed in the drain, it really seemed to hurt him.


Im such a bad mommy.

Honestly, if Reg got his toe stuck in a drain I'd be terrified as well. :shock: But, if his toe looks normal, and he's walking okay and doesn't seem to be favoring it, then I would think he is fine. I'd just watch him, and if something pops up, let us know immediately.

And you aren't a bad mum. I am. I let Reggie fall off of my head into the refridgerator. He landed on his back and I didn't even notice and almost shut him in there. :shock: If he hadn't started thrashing around trying to get back onto his feet I probably would've been a murderer.

So don't feel bad. I think maybe Zing's reaction was moreso because he felt his toe being sucked down the drain. Wouldn't you panic if you felt your toe being sucked down a drain?

Let us know if he starts to favor his foot.

Thanks, I guess I kinda panicked. I am closely monitoring him and he seems content. Hes asleep in his dog carrier.

Don't beat yourself up about Zinger's toe...it was an accident !! You are a great beardie mama !!!
Just keep an eye on it and post if you see any changes.

alright, I'm sure he's ok. He is being good for a change today and has no change in behavior. I'm not really sure if that's a good thing though. :lol:

Hey haley.
The easiest way to find out if he is in any pain is to apply gentle pressure to the toe.
If Zing freaks at you she have have broken something, if she does nothing or just casually kicks you away id say you a safe and sound
