aggressive with unknown people

Hello guys! how is everyone doing today?... just wanted to share some funny little behavior that Ace has been having as of lately... whenever someone new or strange is around, and i have him with me, he starts to act all defensive, his beard gets dark, and he even flares his beard out at times... this began like right after i took him to the vet one day for a check-up and fecal test...

the vet handled him in ways i never ever would, forced his mouth open to check him out, and he got real REAL upset during this episode. he would even try to run towards me for protection... ever since that day, when someone new or someone he doesn't usually see is around he acts as mentioned before... i think it's awesome... and he usually looks at me for help like saying, "Hey!!! take me out of here i do not like this dude" is it normal for them to look towards someone they know for protection?...

only people who can handle him now are me, my girlfriend, my mom, and my dad, my nephew and sometimes, my niece...

Mine is like that to new people and nothing like a traumatic vet visit happened lol

Mine is ok with new people. He hasn't actually met too many, but he definitely prefer's me. He'll hang out on someone for a minute or two but them he's all about getting back to me! I did have an annoying brother in law petting him so freaking hard he was pushing his head into the couch but Sasha just ran away from him and wouldn't let him pet him, didn't get aggressive or anything.

haha!!! that's great guys... just wanted to see if it was just my little guy... he has an amazing personality with me, but not new people... it's pretty amusing to watch him get upset when one of my friends walks up to the tank and checks him out...

hmm i must have a wierd lizzard max loves new people! if he sees they might be scared of him he loves them even more my boyfriends friend worked at petco and was over and terrfied of him which i didnt understand as he will hold babies but not a big one when babies are way more likely to bite lol and once max saw that he was scared he wanted nothing more than to go see him i had to hold him back and eventually go put him in his cage then we recently had my boyfriends parents over for dinner and max has his cage in the living room and a recliner sits next to it and my boyfriends dad chose that spot max ran off his log and went and watched the dad and got all happy colors on with him to when my brother sits there when he is over and i dont get that reaction from max with him
