Aggressive/fearful

So I've had gus for 3 weeks now and no signs of improvement. I he still scoots away and hisses at me when ever I go in his cage. I temps are fine and reptisun 10.0 uvb. Is he always gonna be like this? I should I return him for a more agreeable one? The ones at the store here are sooooo muh nicer and never snap when I try to pick them up.

Thank you! it's a very frustrating time because you just want to cuddle and love your beardie but patience is key. read that forum that fishbone posted and read the post under mine by lurhstaap. it's genius and I'm going to try it too. it's more rewarding to train a difficult beardie than giving up on yours and getting a new one
