Aggressive Behavior

I got a new beardy a couple of months ago from a family that basically just left it in there garage and only gave it attention when the fed it once a week or so. Needless to say it is somewhat aggressive. It has been warming up but does anyone have any good ideas on how to help the transition to me, someone that loves it and wants to hold it often?

Wear a shirt all day, then put it in with the BD. If they get used to your scent they will warm up a little faster. Also try bribery. Offer a waxworm, or some other treat, but make them take it out of your hand.

Thanks & I agree.

That where they aggressiveness came from I think. The poor beardie just sat in a garage all alone with the old owners.

Don't give up! I've finally been able to hold my 6 yr old beardie today after 4 weeks of bonding time. I used an old stuffie with my smell and fed all live food by hand. Charlie is sleeping on my hand now :) Sooo totally thrilled!!

Mine is getting better already (or has been over the last week) since I tried the clothes trick.

That's great! Charlie still puffs up at me the odd time when I pick him up but settles down faster and faster each time. Last night was the first time he was allowed to run around on my bed. Decided to break out the camera and he was happy enough to pose for me. Have fun!

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
