aggressive and anxious ?

My beardie is in a 40 gallon + tank and he keeps trying to get out and for the past 3 days when I try to pick him up he won't let me seems to be eating fine and seems healthy but as soon as I try to get him he opens his mouth as a threat and runs away I bathe him daily but its a problem to get him out of the tank any suggestions on what to do ?

Hi. You can put a shirt that has been worn for a day or two in his tank so he gets use to your sent. Also don't come from the top cuz you look like a predetaor. Come from the side or bottom.

Thank you I'll try that how about his anxiousness to escape the tank he jumps onto the ledge by the door to often

How long have you had him? If it's been a week or two he may have relocation stress. Also if hes little they are jumpy and get chill as they get use to you and as they get older.
