So...Khal Drogo Hussein's latest troubling behavior:
Drogo is a 7ish month old male, about 17 inches.
Over the last week or so, he's been very rambunctious, bordering on aggressive (though not towards me or any human). Every afternoon, when I take his furnishings out of the tank to collect the feeders, he does this tail wiggle, bearding, gaping, and charging at the glass. It looks like he's trying to attack his reflection, which he's never done before. I've never seen his beard before now. All the sudden, he's stalking around his tank like a hyped-up MMA fighter.
He's also more energetic in general. Used to be he'd come downstairs, walk around some, and find somewhere to nap. Now he wants to run around, explore, climb everything (and everyone).
More disturbingly though, he's not eating much. Last week, I offered him his first dubia roaches. He loved them so much I set his remaining crickets free. But in the last 2-3 days, he doesn't go after them. The only ones I've seen him eat are ones I've hand-fed him, and even that was only 2. He might be eating one or two while I'm at work, but that's it.
He's ignored his salad as well.
Questions- do dragons go through any kind of puberty that causes males to get aggressive, like a mammalian teenager? Is this behavior heard of? And more importantly, does his aggression/energy have any connection to the drop in appetite? I'm confused and concerned.
