Well I just got my new beardie BUTTER from a breeder and she went poo and it was solid with not much oder at all. What got my interest was I already have a bearide from a local pet store for about 3 months and when she goes there is liquid and its runny with a strong oder. I usually know when she goes because I smell it when I come in the room. After looking around the forums it seems that NESHA the one from the pet store may have a problem. They are housed completely seperate so I dont have to worry about on infecting the other. I ordered Parazap the other day after is was suggested by the breeder. I was told this could be used a PM for parasites and could also treat them. Should I try this? Her appetite is fine she eats 20 PW's and about 20-30 crickets a day plus fresh salad. She poos everyday sometime twice.
After 2 beardies in 3 months with vivs, lights, feeders etc.....I would hate to have vet bills right now.

I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but a vet check is definately in order. We get them as babies and have no idea what kind of previous conditions they are kept in. Just b/c you see it at a petstore doesnt mean the husbandry is good. I got my Steve from a pet store whom I thought was very knowledgeable, but soon found at that the poops u describe which he had was b/c of parasites. Now, that said, if she does have parasites, no over the counter "quick fix" is going to solve his problem. In fact, it could make her worse. Dehydration is very common with parasites and so is alot worse conditions. The vet needs to provide you with something fit for your bd, for example, the right dosage which is extremely important. Now, that being said...is the actual urate and poop solid or mushy as well with the liquid? If it is solid and there is liquid is present she could very well just be well hydrated. The mushy poops is something to be concerned about. So get her checked and if nothing else at least you will have peace of mind. Hope she is ok and everything works out!! Keep us posted

Hi, well, we went through exactly this, and that smell is your first sign of parasites, especially given the fact that she comes from a pet store where babies are housed in packs and pass them around freely. Definitely take her to a good vet, ours did de-worming on the spot and it cost around $45 for the visit and $25 for the medicine. We did have to come back and repeat the procedure after three weeks, and weren't even charged for medicine the second time, and haven't had any smell or runny stools since... And yes, Leo's appetite was never as strong as when he had the worms, I kinda wish he was eating so well now :(

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
