my worms orders are arriving frozen and dead due to VERY cold temps. they are going to hold my order of phoenix worms due to some ore very cold temps coming this way. I have a 10 and 1/4 inch long beardie that has to be in the mood for crickets lol. can i feed him mealies until the temps warm up?

Mealworms are cool for a dragon that long, though they are not my favorite because of all the chitin. Give some baths to make sure he's hydrated and no mealies get stuck.
And I would use the time to introduce more greens too :D

i'm so afraid to feed him mealworms. it's like i can't bring myslef to buy them, i don't want to give him anything that will hurt him.

How well does your beardie chew his food? I ask this because we fed Redrock mealworms when she was 4 months old until she was about 14 or 15 inches long, close to one year old. We never had any impaction problems with her. All of the beardies we've had chewed their food very well. That's why I don't understand why people believe that superworms can chew their way through beardies stomach.
I can't see that happening.

I would use the mealworms if that's all you can get right now.
Just keep an eye on your dragon and like Jeff said make sure you give daily baths(for hydration and poop).
I have fed my dragon mealworms on and off through the years and have never had a problem.
The biggest concern of course is impaction and I think that is more so with babies, but just to be safe feed him with caution.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
