I have had my bearded dragon (Molly) for a year and 9 months and she's about a year and 7 months old. I bought her from a reptile specialist and she's always been fit and healthy.
Now, she still is fit and healthy but as time has gone on and I've read more about dragons I'm now concerned about her enclosure and think I could be doing a better job for her, so I have a list of facts about her enclosure below. I'd really appreciate if you guys could read through and give me your honest opinion on what needs changing and answer the questions I have. I know Molly will be very happy to have your help!
Tank: 48inches long, 16 inches height and 15 inches depth.
Temps: the temperature at the hot end is 38c and cool end is 30c. However, I've always had a little round stick on thermometer which I now understand isn't accurate so these temps are to the best of my knowledge. What thermometer would you all recommend?
Substrate: I took her off sand about a month ago and wondered what people think of reptile carpet as I'm thinking of getting some for the tank.
That's everything I can think of so I'd love to get all your opinions! She really is the most important thing to me in the world and I wanna do everything I can to make her happy!
