Advice for Twitch and Hermes?

Ok Twitch and Hermes have still been acting like madlizards. She's been doing laps of her tank, round and round, up on the cactus, up on the hammock, jump onto her stick, end of the stick, jump down, on and on... not eating much salad today but has this week and won't eat PW's, but she ate crickets every day and 28 crickets this morning which is the most she has eaten in a whole day for a long time. She has pooped every day though teeny-tiny the urates (is that right?) looks normal and the poo too except so small! But she was only pooping every 7-9 days so I'm just as happy with the smaller poops if that's OK. She's arm-waving at Hermes and she never noticed him til this week that we saw. Hermes is doing laps too. He's head-bobbing like crazy which I know is normal for the head-bobbing and arm-waving. He never paid attention to her before, either. Hermes will be 1 year old this Saturday. We don't know Twitch's exact age but know she was hatched in August or September. So right around the same age though he's half her size

There were tree-trimmers here this week, and construction on local streets, which we at first thought was agitating them. But all that ended days ago (no tree trimmers on Thurs and no street constr on Fri) so that's probably not it. Christy advised me in another thread that this is hormones and my beardies are teenagers  gasp... My question is, should we separate the tanks (or black out the side of Hermes' so they can't see each other) so they won't be so agitated or is this ok for them? It's so good to see Twitch having energy and Hermes is growing so fast but I don't want to be causing them stress if that is the case...

Thanx n beardie cuddles 2 all,

Hi Aimee...

I am with Christy on this. That is exactly what I was thinking.... "puberty" ... they are at that age.

I would recommend either moving their vivs or blocking them off, so that they cannot see one another. Unfortunately, it can cause stress which I am sure you don't want for Hermes and Twitch.

I second that ! I have my boys all side by side, but since they are all in wooden vivs, they can't see one another, and we are careful to have our backs to the others when we remove one of the boys for play time (snuggles ;)) or baths.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
