ADV positive and URI

I recently got a 2 year old beardie from Inked Dragons. She arrived gravid, dehydrated, and underweight, and the vet diagnosed her with a URI and conjunctivitis in both eyes. I haven't gotten her tested for ADV, but I have a feeling she might be positive. On the way home from the vet, she laid her eggs.

The vet prescribed her Baytril 2.27% at .13 mL by mouth, twice a day for 10 days. She weighs 325g. She also prescribed an ophthalmic ointment for her conjunctivitis (which has been improving). Overall, she seems to be getting better. Her energy is improving, and she is holding her eyes open for longer periods of time. She has been on medication for 10 days now, and I have owned her for 12. She has an appetite, but she has been having diarrhea and has gained 4 grams. I have been giving her serrapeptase and probiotics to help with the side effects of the medication. I give her two doses of each a day. I also supplement her with extra calcium that I mix with Oxbow Herbivore critical care, and some reptaboost. I have also been giving her breathing treatments with baytril made for nebulizers.

I am worried that if she is ADV positive, I am fighting a losing battle. Does her progress seem promising? Should I increase probiotics? Anything I should change?

Thank you!

Poor little thing, all this stress and she's had to lay her eggs while on a trip in your vehicle. :( I think that she's doing pretty well all things considered.....and you don't actually have a positive ADV diagnosis. If she is willing to eat some and is looking a bit stronger, why not give her a chance ? I don't think more probiotics are needed, it's really a guessing game as to how much of all those things should be given. Is she putting up with the medicating alright ? Is she interested in live food ? How bad is the URI ? Hopefully she can pull through, but if you see improvement maybe give her a chance.

I am definitely giving her a chance. No worries! :) I am taking as good of care of her as I possibly can. She does this sudden gaping thing if she's having trouble breathing through her nose. That has decreased. I will keep doing what I am doing for now, and hope that she continues to do better. I will probably take her back to the vet this week, as well.

Thank you!

That's good, I hope things turn out well for her. And since you say she arrived in bad condition did you document it and let the breeder know ? You should always do that immediately to see if you have any recourse for the trouble you're going through, not to mention the dragon. They seem to be very popular and may want to compensate you if your facts are correct on the condition you received her in.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
