I would give him a bath at least once a day for the next week. (you should be doing this anyways if your not already!!!) If that does not work then you can go to your local pet store a buy a spray call repti-aid for shedding. You just spray this on the lizard and it helps them shed.

We have a male beardie that is 5 yrs old and was having an extremely hard time shedding, his skin looked like leather. We tried everything, frequent baths, lightly rubbing his skin with a soft tooth brush, applying 100% Aloe Vera gel, Vitamin E oil, mineral oil, moist hides, shedding aid spray, the Shed-Ease Reptile bath, nothing helped. As a last resort, I picked up a100% Cocoa Butter stick and after only applying it one day, it started lifting in patches. I highly recommend that and have used it on 2 of our other beardies with good results. Here's a few pictures showing his difficult shed. The small dark brown areas are the way his skin should look, all the yellowish skin is the bad shed:

Here he is with his new and improved skin. :D

Hard to believe that it's the same beardie isn't it? I highly would recommend trying the Cocoa butter, here's the exact same thing I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Queen-Helene-Cocoa-Butter-Stick/dp/B000GG7NU8

I bought the Zilla Shed Ease stuff and gave mr JR a bath in the solution and it worked good for his back legs and vent area but Not for the top of his head... how do you get the stuff on the top of his head? Do you just pour it over his head or what?

Sad to say that JR was put to sleep today he actually had gotten a yellow fungus and the vet said it is hard to treat and with him not eating it would be best.

I'm sorry to hear about JR. He had quite a time of it. Perhaps the difficult shed treatment brought on the yellow fungus. It can be treated if caught in time but if it spreads throughout their body, treatment is much harder and oral medication is needed then.

I was hoping that since we hadn't heard from you for a little while, that the shed had gotten better. Didn't know that he wasn't eating too. Sorry to hear about all of it.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
