Adopted beardie may have issues.

I adopted a year and a half old female beardie. There is plenty I am working to fix for her. For example, she only had a 160w heating bulb in her tank. That has been swapped out with a 125w Solar Pro. Her diet had been super worms every other day and iceberg lettuce every day. That has been changed to dubia roaches and kale/spinach salads.
I'm in the process of getting her everything she needs to be happy and healthy.
My issue is this, she is overweight and feels very dehydrated. I was told she hasn't had a bm in a few days. I have given her several baths in the two days I have had her but still no bm. I have even found what looks like withered scales on her belly. I have a vet appt scheduled but not for another 10 days.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Thank you both for replying! I have the url for diet ideas saved. As for the scales, here they are:
There are quite a few single scales then a line of them.

You're welcome. :) Boy, that's a chubby belly...I can see why you want to put her on a beardie diet ! By the way, spinach should be avoided because it binds calcium, making it unusable . The best greens are turnip, mustard, collard, dandelion arugula and squash as a staple veggie.

Sometimes beardies get damaged scales, those won't cause any problem.

Thanks for the heads up on the spinach. I've learned something new in my quest for healthy beardies! Lol
Yes, Cricket Rose needs to slim down a little. Her belly is so large it causes her back to be humped, poor girl. I checked but she doesn't seem to be carrying a clutch. We are getting her on track with an activity regiment.

Hello,

She is a cutie and definitely has a beardie belly! Lol
You can get her out to play and run around daily to help her slim down some.
The Solar glow should be pretty good, it is nice and bright.
Let us know how she is doing.

Cricket Rose's vet appointment is just around the corner and she now has an audible wheeze. We thought we might be hearing her wheeze every now and then during this past week but it is now noticeable. She has become more active since we fixed her lighting and heating issue. I'm hoping the vet says it's nothing more than her being out of shape. Have any of you had dragon wheezing issues? What was it and what was done for it?
Thanks!

Hello,

Poor girl, I hope she gets to feeling better!
The wheezing, is it an intermittent occurrence or not?
Hopefully it isn't a respiratory problem right now. What substrate are you using for her, a loose type or a solid one? Keep her around 80 in her tank overnight to help boost her immune system.
Let us know how she is doing & how the vet visit goes.

Tracie,
I apologize for not posting sooner! The wheezing has been intermittent but we have not been able to link it to any thing specific. It comes and goes.
She has repti-carpet and I've been keeping her tank between 78 and 81 since we got her until I could get her to the vet. Her appointment is today at 1530. I will let you know how it goes!
Thank you!

Cricket Rose has been given an almost clean bill of health!! She has only two issues, weight and vision. Her doctor saw dark spots in her pupils that he thinks are causing her vision to be less than perfect. So, we now know why she bumps into things so much.
She weighs 684 grams!! We are to maintain food supply and greatly increase exercise. We go back in a few weeks to check her weight.
What sounds like wheezing is her huffing like a teenager would. Thank goodness!
Her hydration is much better, eyes have lost their red tint, and her fecal test came back negative!
Thank you for your help before I got her to the vet. She is well on her way to being a healthy beardie!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
