Two negatives are fantastic, regardless!! My Norbert has only tested negative once also, and I'll be re-testing very soon. You might remember though that he's from Daichu who claim all or most beardies have Adeno, but I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I got extremely luckily with Norbert.
Keep me updated about Texas Dragon Lab please! I'd be really interested to hear the results when you retest. I think I'll add them on Facebook too.
Yes I'm very lucky that my Lotus has tested negative twice, especially being a rescue beardie!! When Monster was still alive, she tested negative once and she was a rescue too. I'll let you know about Captain's second test results in December. Lotus will be getting her third test in December as well... I think the general consensus is that if a beardie tests negative three times at least three months apart then you're pretty much home free, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I'll probably still test annually after that though just to keep contributing to Tracie's research and try to help prove that Adenovirus isn't some magic fairy disease that pops up out of nowhere lol.
I wouldn't worry so much about Norbert (well, nevermind...
of course I would if he was mine lol). Anyway, my point is that it's highly likely that even Daichu's dragons could go against the grain of their own statements. Heck, even
they say "many/most", but don't go as far as to say "ALL". I was nervous at first with Texas Dragon Lab because apparently some of their dragons were bred from Daichu lines, but so far so good! Jeff Salas, the owner/breeder, was actually willing to let me test Captain
before purchasing him (for both Adenovirus and parasites) which showed a lot of integrity for me. Being that you wouldn't be able to see the fecal sample made fresh in person like I did, you would just have to trust that the right sample came from the right dragon - but I'm trying to convince him to test his whole breeding colony altogether.
