Additional Lighting?

I am switching to a 40 gallon breeder. I am also going to a MegaRay MVB. I will need aditional lightning because my basking spot will be at one end of the tank. I know beardies like it bright. Any suggestions on what I should use? Any Links?

Are you just looking for more light without any more heat? If that's the case, you could either use a regular full spectrum flourescent bulb (from the hardware store) or you could use a regular energy saver house light bulb (its only the UVB emitting energy saver bulbs that are potentially dangerous).

I'm thinking about adding a light like this, too. It's usually bright in the living room, but I think he might like it a bit brighter.

Yea same here. I have a spare ceramic dome fixture that I am not using. I will try it with a regular 60w household bulb opposite the Megaray and see if that will work. I will use the clamp to raise it and I will just have to watch the Temps to make sure if does not heat up the cool side above 80-82 degrees.
