  Another one???? Is this besides the one we talked about the other day????
Awesome... Where are you going to put another cage? My house???? :laughing6: :laughing6: You know Bryan wants more vivs around here. We dont have enough.
I will stay in denial as long as the voices in my head agree we are still here. right??? right!!!
No Heather not another besides the one we talked about the other day.
I just went to comfirm that I would be bringing her home this weekend.
Pleez! Don't ask me where I'm going to put another viv.
I'll have to start stacking them 3 high I guess.
Bring it to your house yeah right you just want another already, don't you?
Jeff I might be addicted to beardies oh excuse me....... I might have a heavy hobby of beardies, but no matter how much I drink I'm not eating any roaches. Period!
I just got my first batch of Dubia today. Those little guys are strong. I'm surprised they can't climb better. I had a baby one crawling all over my hand and I couldn't get it off. Mango loved them too. I can't wait til my wife has to feed him while I'm gone. She'll panic at first over the roaches and honestly she might just go to the pet store a buy a few dozen crickets. She can deal with those (in small quantities at least). My daughter is begging to keep some of the roaches in a cage for her own pets.
Your daughter sounds like mine. You should see both my kids chasing down crix with the aquarium nets. And Daniel has decided that supers are "cooool". (He's 4) Katherine thinks they feel weird, but are ok. Today they tryed to get me to set up a home for a praying mantis. Katherine "loves animals that pray". And two wooly caterpillers. I convinced them they would be happier with their families....OUTSIDE.
I'm relieved to know I'm not the only one! I am new to beardies, but they have quickly stolen my heart. I am a small animal veterinarian and have owned many types of pets throughout my life, but these wonderful dragons have given me a whole new perspective on the human-animal bond. I acquired my first beardie only two months ago and now I have eight! I have never treated reptiles in my practice and now I find myself seeking information and continuing education classes on BD's and reptiles so I can be more knowledgeable not only in caring for my own growing clan of dragons, but in helping future clients with BD's. I laughed when I read all these responses to this thread. These sweet dragons have become part of the family, and I can certainly see that I'm not alone in my fascination with these loveable and unique creatures.

Ok, so I go out to the garage to check on mine the other day, and after I was done, I was walking out of the garage for whatever reason and I saw a baby one crawling along the wall in my garage. I know it wasn't your normal everyday roach, it was definitly a dubai..... they climb better than we think they do!
When I did check on them, my husband was outside with me, and he is absolutely disgusted by them and thinks I'm crazy, but he saw a freshly molted Adult, he was all white (actually quite stunning might I add) He thought it was really cool, hopefully now he doesn't think I am as crazy as he previously thought!
Danielle do you use a large plastic tub or a tall glass tank for your roaches?
Here's my point;
I have 2 roach enclosures not dubias but the type I have(blatta lateralis) do not climb either,
but I find that if you use a plastic tub it will get scratches in it and then they will beable to climb it.... well...the little one will. Also if you use a tank that has silicone in the corners like a fish aquarium they can climb that too.
I have 2 tall glass terrariums that have no silicone an I get no escapees.
I hear that you can smear vaseline around the top of your roach enclosure and this will prevent them from beable to get out. :dontknow:

 Eight! Now that is truly addicted! Ha, I thought I was bad. I checked my e-mail for the first time in I don't know how long and had 350 e-mails in there. One of my college buddies had a baby and I didn't even know she was pregnant. Why? Because I am always on BD.org! Who has time for e-mail and Facebook?
Okay...so the movie quote made me a little irritated right before I burst out laughing :laughhard: when I realized it was from Billy Madison (Great movie). On another note, I just realized that THIS is what a "hobby" feels like. I get it now silly me. And all this time I thought I was developing OCD or something :laughhard:
Barbara, that is a great story. It really feels great to know that you have changed someone's life for the better. Even if you were responsible for a life/mind altering addiction...I mean...uh...hobby
My wife showed some pictures of our little Mango to some friends at work and they either said "now what is that again?" or "he's CUTE. I want one too." Maybe I can introduce some friends to the wonderful world of BD-slavery. Que Fabuloso!
Look at the banner below... it says "Addicts are Warned" "Fill Your Beardie Addiction" it's an advertisement for this website, how fitting for this thread!
So does everyone want a good laugh? :laughing6:
Okay here's my confession I went to town to see about bring another beardie home.
No! I'm not addicted. No! I'm not in denial!
See thats ok though, since you "pushed" the 2 on Heather, you had to get one to make up for it!
See if you get rid of 2 and only get one back, you are doing ok. Now if you get rid of one, and go get 2, then you are in trouble!
