Acting up during sheds??

Yeah. He's being a punk lately. He doesn't want to be held, he doesn't want to eat. I offer him EVERYTHING he could ever want. dubia's, supers, crickets, salad, blueberries, squash... He wont eat any of it. If he sees like a dubia crawling on his leg, THEN he'll eat it. Anything else crawling anywhere else on him, nope.

He's the little guy. His girlfriend is on the left hehe.

He's amazing though. Like when we got him, he was a freaking angel. He ate when there was food & he LOVED being held. But since he started shedding, (this is his first shed with us) he wont eat anything. He didn't eat A THING yesterday. Today he ate 1 dubia and licked a blueberry. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make him more comfy besides baths? Thanks.

Our beardie ate 3 crickets this morning, and completely turned her nose up at her phoenix worms. Now, she's never been a huge eater, but 3 crickets, and NO worms??? I knew something was up, because she ALWAYS wants the worms. We ran some errands late in the am, and returned around 1 to find her hiding/sleeping and I thought, HUH? This afternoon, she was bearding everybody and everything. So upset?! And then, she had the biggest and fastest (and clearly most uncomfortable) torso shed of ALL TIME. She's been a slow grower, so the shed was good news, but for her, clearly agony. Funny thing is though, during the shed, she was beside herself, so I thought I'd try to offer some food, and she ate 8 worms! I think she may have an eating disorder... eating her way out of her misery. :shock:

Sounds perfectly normal to me.
Ruben is an absolute git when he's shedding. Doesnt want to be held, only wants to eat when he fancies it. He's even hissed at me when i had the AUDACITY to give him a nice bath to help get some of the shed off.

Is there anything I can do to make him more comfy besides baths?

Patience...sorry, that's all I could come up with. They can definitely be miserable during a shed. Just keep giving the baths and hopefully it will all be over soon and you'll have your old beardie back...

Thanks for all your help, you guys. The shed on his back finally came up and he's feeling better. I left him in his tank with nothing but a couple of dubia's, some crickets and a plate of lettuce. There was only 3 dubia's left and the lettuce was ALL over the tank lol, which he never does. He's usually not the sloppy piggy like his girlfriend. So I think he's feeling better since his back shed came off. Thank you so much!

Great that he's feeling better. Our girl was still a little grumpy today. She has never bearded so much as she has in the last few days. I did put her in the bath yesterday evening, and for the first time all week, she didn't try to run right out. Clearly, it was the best relief she'd had all day. She was MUCH more calm afterward. She's still got some shed under her back legs, and on her side, and it looks like her tail is about to go anytime now. Looks like it shedding week for us! For our slow-growin' girl, it's quite the good news! I wish she felt the same. :roll:

No they both have they're own apartment. He lives on the top floor and she's the landlord hahaha!!

Lol thank you. I love them. Theyre going to the vet on friday morning, but now after the little guy shed, he stopped eating completely!! They're telling me on the other post i put up that he might have parasites cuz he's got all this diarrhea and he's not eating. I mean he's perfectly normal, he runs around and his heads always up and he's always looking at everything but he doesnt eat. tomorrow will be day 4 that he hasnt eaten anything. Im really getting scared now. I tried giving him warm baths to get some exercise cuz exercise makes you hungry but it's done nothing. What should I do?

Don't be sorry. I have seen several times when we get worried (including me) we tend to post in more than one area and it can get confusing to remember what info was given where. I have added a reference in a posting to refer answers to the question I had to the other posts. I will check there to see more detail and what advise has already been given.
