Well, I never thought I'd have all of these questions and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being a bit of a worry-wart but, Izzy, from looking at some growth charts online, appears to be about 8 to 9 weeks old. I have had him for 2 weeks. I have read that it takes some dragons months to get settled down in their new home but I saw a video on YouTube today of a dragon, roughly the same size as Izzy, being hand fed and just hanging out. Izzy, on the other hand, is very active and a bit jumpy at times. Is this normal? I know they are not all going to behave the same way but, he still seems a bit nervous. Should I be concerned?

Don't worry, It is very normal for babies to be skittish. You need to build up trust with a dragon.

where did you get him from?

my first one was from a petstore, and he was jumpy. it took a while to get him used to being held. we even went through the hissing stage.
my second was from a breeder, http://www.justlizardsinc.com/, and was very tame and used to being handled.

I purchased him from Petco. They got him from Sandfire Dragon Ranch. Normally, I would be sceptical of such a store but I know the reptile person there and she actually ordered them herself so I felt okay about it. I consider it a rescue. lol. It's funny, the night after I started this thread, Izzy was sitting on my arm and I decided to see if he would drink some water from a little stopper I have. He did and proceeded to sit there for a half hour without moving. Just taking a SIP here and there. Now, like magic, he's calm as can be. After a while, I think I'll try feeding him by hand and see how he does.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
