Acadia bulb stopped working?

I recently bought an Arcadia D3+ T-5 22 Inch 24 Watt *12% Desert UVB* bulb.

I plugged it in initially to my fixture and it worked perfectly. I had to wait a few days until I had some free time out mount the fixture to my tank, but once I did I put in my bulb....NOTHIN'! The bulb completely stopped working. I plugged in the bulb my fixture originally came with and it worked just fine. :/

The fixture that I bought is the Sunblaster T5 High Output Fluorescent Strip Light - 2ft.

I can't imagine why it would work one minute and not the next. Is there something wrong between the specs of the fixture and the bulb? I emailed lightyourreptiles and am hoping to hear back soon!

Any Ideas?

Sounds like there is something wrong with the sunblaster fixture? Maybe the cord isnt seated properly or the inline switch is off?

What fixtures do you have? Just the sunblaster or another one as well?

Sorry I misread. Sounds like a bulb issue, Hopefully Todd can get you sorted out.

After talking to Tod he says : Some of the new sunblaster fixtures can have a hard time making good contact at the ends because they are about a milometer too long between the sockets.

Good to know for anyone thinking of buying this fixture for their Arcadia bulbs.

So I'm going to try reinstalling and making sure it's getting contact from each end. BUT if it still doesn't work it might be a dud and I'll have to get a replacement bulb.

I hope this info helps anyone else with the same issues.
