About to shed?

So my newish beardie ( had him about a week) has grown about 3/4 of an inch since ive had him. His tail and legs have been sorta whitish for this time and he is just now rubbing his head on his tree, is he about to shed? ( hes now like 7 1/2 inches)

Mine was doing the head rub last night before he went to sleep, after his bath, and this morning a big ol piece came off.
