Abnormal bone structure?

I'm concerned about the way it looks like my beardie's ribs seem to stick out, or wondering if its possibly some other abnormality.

I've had my beardie, Loki since Xmas and in that time he has grown from a tiny lil squirt to 18 inches. He's very active and has a great appetite (loves his zucchini and greens especially) and has been on a diet that's a mix of reptiworms, superworms and more recently we got him hornworms to try. So, I don't think it's that he isn't eating right. Compared to other dragons I have seen his age, he appears to be on the bigger side. He went with us to Repticon and more than a few people were surprised to hear he was only about 7 months old.

As far as his set up goes, he has a reptisun tube, heat lamp, uth, and we give him reptivite on his veggies every day. Aside from his sides looking like that he appears otherwise healthy. Good regular stools, active and alert, no other abnormalities with his bone structure at all. Thoughts?

Hmmm,,,,that does look a little strange. The only other think I noticed is that you use and under tank heater. Please stop using that,,,dragons can not feel heat from underneath them and it can malfuntion, get too hot and burn your dragon.

That IS unusual.
I'd recommend getting an x-ray done, just to have a look as to what it is.
I'd certainly be fascinated to see the results, at any rate.

What does it feel like?

Will call the vet and schedule one. We luckily have one that deals with exotic pets right around the corner and they are really good. Honestly, it feels like rib bones, but I haven't seen other dragons look like that on their sides. Even when he flattens himself out they still stick up. At first we were worried he was impacted, but this little guy has regular poops (and decent size ones at that) as well as a healthy appetite. The guys at the herp pet store we frequent (locally owned and good bunch of guys) all said he seemed healthy and was pretty big for his age so I almost wonder its just that he is growing. Either way, i worry a lot despite his seeming healthy otherwise. Xrays might be a good idea. :) Thanks for the suggestion.

I swore i had seen to use UTH on here, but now checking I think you are right an I must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere >_< . I needed one for my AFT gecko tank anyway, so I will just switch it over to theirs.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
