I live in southern PA and it gets pretty warm here during the summer and i was wondering if the turk roach would infest my house if a few was to get loose? I would be using a really slick bin to hold them in, but their is bound to be some escapee's no matter how careful anyone is. I already own a dubia colony, but i was thinking about getting something on the side that would breed a little faster. And does anyone know another place besides thebugpros.com to order them from? Thanks in advance for the answers.

I'd say yes, provided you don't have AC. Their breeding will stop when it gets cold tho. Let me give you a warning- THEY ARE REALLY, REALLY FAST!! Seriously, crickets ain't got nuthin on them. I've dropped a few by accident and if you don't immediately step on them and squish them they will be gone by the time you blink. Don't even try catching it, just stomp it! Half the time you just stun them and they're still alive anyway, it takes some effort to kill them.

lol maybe i will just stick to the dubia's then. They might breed slow but at least they are slow and easy to detain. Thanks

your house will need to get near or below freezing (for a few days) to kill off most roaches

I have sent dubia across the country and buyer guaranteed they were dead when left on their doorstep in the snow.....

hours later in the warmth of their house....they started to move and very few were actually dead.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
