A little Clarification on feeding please!

George is doing great- although has a taste for locusts and is avoiding crickets (he looks at me as if to say 'im not eating that!) he did eat a couple yesterday so im trying to get him back onto them because locusts are expensive when he eats so many!!

Im just wondering what else i can give him? someone said to me i can feed him butterworms as a staple is this right? in other placees ive seen you cant?! #

Also i give him morio worms- he LOVES them but i understand they are fatty so i give him 3-4 a day- although havent over the last few days so i can get him interested in crickets again.

What else can i feed him and how often? Im in the UK so i discovered i cant give him goliath worms as they are seen as a pest and we can import them, although i have seem that there are something called nutri grubs- anyone had any experience with these?

i should start to measure him because im sure hes getting bigger- i see him everyday though so im not sure i notice as much.- i do know that he has a little fat belly coming though x

Butterworms are fatty and should not be given as a staple.
Mario worms should only be given to 16? inch i think so near enough full grown(following space between the eyes rule)
The only staples i can think of are:
blacks Crix
Bandered(chirpy) crix you can get silents
Locust
Roaches
Im not too sure if silk worms can be used as a staple..
Nutri grub are good
Im not sure about phoenix worm as ive never ordered any!

But wax worm and butter worm are full of fat! :shock:

On there it states that silkworms are perfect as a staple meat source, my boys absolutely love them!!! There was a time when ALL suppliers stop selling silkworms in the UK (think it was something to do with a disease on the mulberry bushes - the silkworms food, and therefore didn't want to sell possibly infected silkworms as they could infected whatever ate the silkworms.....this is what i read when i googled about it anyway) but they are slowly making a comeback!!!! woohoo!!!!!! I think Rickslivefood.co.uk are selling them.
