A 6 Year Old

This may seem like a silly question but should I adopt a 6 year old bearded dragon?
Our male went missing last week outside & unbelievably showed up again 2 days ago & we were ecstatic, thought we were dreaming!! In the meantime a person was giving away his 6 year old female beardie. I told him if she was healthy & eating we'd take her. This person lives in a city about 1 1/2 hrs away. He claims he doesn't think anything's wrong with her but doesn't know how long they live for.
We have an extra 75 gallon tank I could put her in but should we take the chance & drive that far to adopt her?

I'm so happy your Beardie came home! Beardies can live 10+ healthy years but they could also die younger. If it were me I'd want physical evidence she was healthy but if she was, I wouldn't hesitate to adopt her.

Thank you & yes we felt like pinching ourselves when I saw Rufus in the grass!! We're in a rural spot so there's tons of goldenrod, etc around to hide in!
