Sometimes, my Daisy will go under her rock / cave & sleep the whole day. Sometimes she won't even come out after lights on & stay or sleep there till lights off as if she is bored to death inside her viv. If I pull her out of the cave & place her on top of her basking spot she might or sometimes goes back to hiding / sleeping, she also decides to go to sleep early if awake, for example: Lights out at 9pm, she is sleeping under the rock right now but I took her out for half the day for all of the above activities (bath, feeding, window time, & outside natural sunlight time) just to keep her entertained (it feels).

BUT.

Her behavior (aside from that) is normal. For example, if I take her out of her viv from sleeping for outside time, or a bath, or window time etc. She is wide awake & .. just interested.
Any reason for her sleepy behavior?

Some of you may know my Daisy so instead of explaning it over & over. Yes, her feeding has to be done by me, yes both her back legs are still messed up but again, she is normal, not lethargic.

Jace is like that so I take him out of his hide and and put something there to block the entrance. What are your temps at and what do you use to take temps with?

At first I was using a 50w that had temps around 105 but since it's summer they've been jumping to 110 and she has showed me that she doesn't like that by hanging out on the cool side all day so I just recently swapped out the reptile heat bulb for just a regular house bulb (38w). Which keeps the temps at 95-100.

Again, anytime she is inside the viv, BOOOORING.
As soon as she comes out! Whoa now! swimming around, looking, etc etc. (colorful / happy).

Yea, Jace is the same way. Here's a tip to save money on having to buy bulbs, buy a dimmer switch. You can find them at Home Depot and such. I use it so I don't have to constantly buy new bulbs with every weather change and it has worked out well so far.

Hi relentlesschaos. I went through a phase like this with one of my boys too.

He wouldn't leave his corner, but perked up when taken out of the vivarium. I had 2 problems, firstly the temperature was way too hot, I had it at 110F basking spot and 90 ambient temperature, so I put that down to 95F basking and 75F ambient and he was much happier.
The other thing was the UVB bulb. What UVB bulb do you have? Most UV bulbs give off the wrong levels of UV and can damage your beardies eyes. The correct ones are either "Reptisun 10.0" or the "Arcadia D3" in Europe.

I have a Reptisun 10.0.

My dragon is still acting like this, sleeping most of the day unless taking out of the terrarium. I just through a stick in their today, maybe that will encourage her to stay active or entertained. (had the setup simple since her legs are nearly crippled), if anything. I think maybe her lack of appetite causes her to sleep.

I've been having similar behaviour with my beardie lately, and turns out she just wanted to brumate. :D If it is cold and rolling into winter then let her sleep, I don't know when she'll wake up, because I am going through my first brumation as well.

I live in the desert & it's already 90 degree weather here daily.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
