L.t who is a male and 6 months old (325 grams) has really slowed down. He eats greens in the morning and just stares at his crickets. Also he has got on his own schedule. He used to wake when lights on @ 6am and go to bed @ lights off 8pm. For the past month we have been waking up @ 4am and he will put himself to bed anywhere from 11am to 3 or 4pm. I've takin him to the vet and had a fecal done and everything was good. No parasites no sickness. When he's awake he acts fine. He will only eat a little in the morning and that's it. Temps and lights are fine. It's the middle of summer and he is only 6 months old. Is it possible that he is semi brumating? Will he snap out of it? I have worried myself sick. Does anyone have an answer.

This morning he ate 1 dubia and 2 super worms. Just not interested. Been to the vet and they can't find anything. Lights and temps fine. I don't know what to do. Is anyone else having this? Someone please tell me something.

Hi there....yes, it's a possible semi brumation. He's pretty big, and it won't hurt him a bit as long as he's healthy so it's good that his fecal is clear. There may be other factors, but some dragons go through a phase of not eating much as they grow toward adulthood. But for the sake of ruling out any husbandry problems, can you list his set up ? The exact type + brand of lights, temps. throughout the tank and how often you bathe or offer water orally. Also what type of substrate he's on?

40 gal tank. Reptisun 10.0 (tube) mounted inside glass 8inches from him. Hotside anywhere from 101 to 103 degrees. Cool side runs about 83 degrees. Baths every other day. But he is usually asleep by 2 or 4 In the afternoon. No night light. Seems more interested in greens rather than his live food. But still doesn't eat a bunch.

It could well be brumation. My beardie went into it at 8 months old. I also took her to the vet and spent a lot of money on xrays and stuff. The vet said no way she is brumating because she is too young. That made me quite worried. I made a thread here and everyone agreed she was brumating, and they were right. I'm not sure if the vet was crap or just wanted more money.
You could try putting the lights on a few hours later and turning them off a few hours earlier if you want to spend more time with the dragon.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
