6 month male 2 year old female

I have recently bought a 2 year old female and i already had a male that is about 6 months old. Ive had the male about 4 months. The female is obviously ready to breed but I wasnt sure if the male was. He is supposed to be about 6 months old. They have showed signs of what i believe to be normal mating signs. They have the black beard, head bobbing, etc. My question is..is the male too young if he is only 6 months old or can i breed him if he is showing signs that he is intrested.

I've had a male as young as 6 months breed successfully, but he was pretty big for his age. He escaped from a cage to get to the female and it wasn't a planned breeding. While he may be ready, there won't be much you can do unless she's ready.
