54 gallon corner

I have a 54 gallon corner tank just sitting in my basement. I was wondering if that would be too small for my 1 1/2 year old beardie. I currently have him in a 125 gallon critter cage but it takes up too much room and he only stays on one side of the tank. I was just wondering if the 54 gallon would adequate for him?

the dimensions are 38 x 27 x 22

If thats inches, it should be ok, but if its a corner tank whats the smallest depth, i assume its kind of like a triangle??
