40g or 55g tank??

Petco is having their $1 per gallon sale and I was wondering which tank would be better...the 40 gallon or the 55 gallon? The 55 gallon isn't as wide so I was thinking of going with the 40 gallon, but I wanted someone else's input. My bearded dragon is only 7 inches long now and in a 20 gallon tank but I am thinking about when she gets bigger. Would a 40 gallon be okay for a full grown bearded dragon?

Hello! I would go with he 40 if I were you!! It has more floor space and beardies are all about the floor space! I have one housed in a 55 (he came with his tank) and I wish he was in a 40!

I agree with plantkisser. The 40 gallon is fine for an adult, or younger, beardie. Don't get a 55 gallon, it's too narrow.

A 40 breeder is better than a 55 but IMO still rather small. If they have something in the 75 and up range it would be better, it's as wide as the 40 but also another foot longer.

Thanks for your input! I went ahead and bought a 40 gallon tank because the biggest size they had was a 55 gallon and it wasn't wide enough. I bought a $120 tank for just $49!
