4 month old "MALE" all of a sudden being extremely aggressiv

Hi Everyone,

I have a 4 month old beardie who 2 weeks ago was absolutely fine. He started all of a sudden becoming aggressive, opening his mouth at me and running around the cage so i couldn't catch him but i never gave up and always make sure i catch him when I try. I thought it might be the size of his cage (10 gallon) so I moved him to a 40 breeder tank. I have a mercury vapor bulb and his basking temp is 105 and the other end is 78-80. Ever since putting him in the 40 breeder he has become EXTREMELY aggressive actually chasing me and biting me the min i put my hand in the tank even just to put in his veggies. He is eating dubia roaches, veggies, has access to water and is bathed 4 times a week. Please help. I am not sure what to do but know I don't like this behavior at all.

I have a Female beardie that is 2yrs and two months old that is in her own 40 breeder who has never ever been aggressive in any way at all.

One is on one side of my living room and the other on the other side, approx 20 feet away from each other.

That could be the issue. Try an experiment and see if you can block the view of each other.

Also, is he starting a shed?

YES he is starting to shed. His head is sheding and he does not like it touched at all.

well THAT could also be the issue. They can get crabby when they are shedding. It is very uncomfortable for them. Try to give him a couple good soaks to make him feel better.
