I'm guessing Ember is about 4 months old. She's been shedding over the past week. On 4/10 she finally shed her head completely and then I noticed her upper left leg was starting to turn dull. Today it's finally starting to peel off, but she still has some left to go. I think tomorrow she'll be done.
Saturday she seemed to be fine. Ever since then she's been a very light eater. Yesterday she ate maybe 20 phoenix worms and a little bit of salad. Today it didn't look like she touched any of the phoenix worms that I left out for her. I usually count them out, but didn't have time today. If she did eat any, it was very few. Her salad seemed smaller, but it may be just because it shriveled up in the heat. I swapped the food out in the afternoon giving her a fresh salad and 4 butterworms. All of the worms were still there, but the salad as touched. Whether or not she ate or just walked in it I don't know.
She has been pooping, but of course not much as she's not eating much. Today she left me a little bit of urates and a very small smeared mess. Her activity level and basking behaviors are normal. Her temps are fine (basking 105-110 / cool 80) and she has a new ReptiSun 10.0 that I put in on 4/5. I will say that her poops were a bit loose last week, but I had just started her on sweet peppers in her salad which she seems to love so I thought maybe it was extra water from that. Her poop Saturday was firm and formed.
I'd like to think her lack of appetite is from the shedding process, but of course I'm worried it might be something else. I was hoping to hold off until next weekend to get a fecal done because I'm booked this weekend.
So, I guess I'm just wondering if this could be due to shedding or if there might be something else going on. Thoughts?
