3 month old waving to his crickets

We have a beardie around three months old and we have been getting him out and putting him in a feeding tank to give him his crickets. We went to the beach for 3 days and it looks like the person we had feed them put some crickets in "his" tank with him. So we watched "him" run around catching them but right before he would chase them, he would wave at them. Is that weird? I know they wave to other dragons but to the crickets?

my girl when she was small waved to everything! She waved to her rock, her salad bowl, crix, her reflection in the glass, everything! I think most of them go through that phase where they just do it to do it, they're still young and still figuring out their bodies. Mine hardly ever waves anymore, every once in a while I'll see her do it, but very rarely.

We have an 8 month old girl and when she was little she almost never waved. They can't see each other with how we have the tanks but it just shows how different they can be I guess.

Perfectly normal behavior. I have a couple 3 year olds who randomly wave at things.

Baby Dragon: (eats cricket and mumbles) He should have said hey!
