Hi- I’ve had my beardie for almost 2 weeks now. It’s been a learning process and I’ve been doing constant research to make sure he’s thriving and happy however yesterday I noticed that when I turned his lights on he didn’t wake up. So I didn’t bother him, I let him keep sleeping but usually he wakes up when I do. He only woke up to eat or go to the bathroom. Other than that he’s been laying on his rock or on his hammock and sleeping all day ever since, when I pick him up he keeps his eyes closed and only opens them rarely to eat or if he hears something and closes them right after. Usually throughout the day he’s laying on his hammock and watching the world around him or staring at the TV. When I take him out he likes to walk around but now he just lays around and sleeps. It’s summer where I live so it can’t be brumation. His tank is 100-110 on the hot side and 80 on the cool side. I’m just not sure whats wrong. Some research said he could be molting but I don’t see any signs of shedding on him at all. Should I be worried?

Please post pics of the tank and lighting-- for 3 months old he should be active basking and eating and pooping- it is common for them to snooze while basking but not sleeping all the time --- I am thinking its a lighting situation -- how are you getting the basking temp you posted

You dragon needs a UVB ASAP and get rid of the blue bulb ASAP- colored bulbs hurt their eyes and can cause long term eye damage --- you need to order this for a UVB
https://www.reptilesupplyco.com/wholesale-reptile-hoods-domes-fixtures/1884-reptisun-terrarium-hood-t5-24-zoo-med.html and this bulb
https://www.reptilesupplyco.com/t5-uvb-bulbs/1878-reptisun-100-uvb-t5-ho-fluorescent-bulb-22-zoo-med.html
I would get this ordered right away the fixtures sell out right away my go to place is out of stock for the fixture ---
your dragon needs this UVB ASAP he cannot absorb his calcium that you are feeding and not having the UVB will effect his health it is already --- he will develop MBD -- please get this ordered or you can look at your local pet stores but most do not carry the length that I recommended --- the fixture comes w/ a 5.0 bulb keep it as a back up --

I also noticed there is no digital probe to get accurate basking temps -- you need one the stick ons do not give accurate temps -- you need to get this right away as well - you can get them from Petsmart or Petco for like $7 ---- what are you feeding the dragon? I am bad I see you got the probes coming --- the UVB is the issue you have please get rid of it and get what I posted ---- and proper temps for basking as well---

The right side is a UVB, but I’m assuming the one you posted is better and I will order it. He’s eating super worms and crickets they’re the only insects he’ll eat. He’s also eating collard greens and occasionally a piece of an apple.

Ok its good hes eating greens and yes the UVB is inadequate that your using --- this is the reason for his behavior along w/ the basking temps since we dont know exactly what they are -- take the probe when you get it and place it on his spot where he sits for basking let it sit there for 10 minutes and get temp-- it should be 105-110--- let me know what you have coming for UVB and I will help you get it placed for distance -- does your tank have a screen? Here is a website for nutrition
http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html ignore the kale thing its a good staple feeder-- dont feed him too many super worms we dont want him addicted to them --- I have websites for other worms so if you would like some ask along w/ dubia roaches as well and BSFL another good staple feeder for your baby --- in the mean time you can get him outside for some good UVB -- since he is so little I would place him in a plastic tote NO glass put him in direct sunlight / partial shade for 15 minutes NO longer you dont want to burn him up ---- watch him as well --- I would have him sit on you but he is so little and they like to jump I dont want you to lose him -- they are quick and you dont want him loose and getting under something you can get to him --- you can do this couple of times per day until the UVB comes --

I do have another UVB that I have as a backup maybe it’s better? It’s not colored. It’s a Tekizoo UVA UVB light super sun reptile light. 125 W.

I don’t have a screen because I learned the one I was using was too thick and made by a bad company. Thrive. Can you recommend a screen to use for the hood light you sent?

You can use the screen you have you will just need to put the UVB inside the tank w/ both bulbs meaning if you get a T 8 or a T 5 -- - I am guessing its really thick and has a fine mesh screen -- the distance for the T 5 will need to be 12-15 inches from basking decor piece and it should sit directly under his UVB -- you can hang it in the middle of the tank if you like - he will go to what light he needs and the T 8 will need to be 6-8 inches from basking decor --- the difference is the strength and the bulb life - the T 5 is 1 year the T 8 is 6 months--- both are good bulbs --- here are some things you can hang the fixture w / 3 M command Velcro fasteners- picture hanging wire –long plastic zip ties-- fishing line -- shoe laces-- potted plant wire hangers

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
