3 different parasites :(

I took my beardie to the vet yesterday because he wasn't acting like himself (sluggish, not eating much, etc). Turns out he has 3 different parasites. Coccidia, pinworms and one other that I don't remember the name of. He is on meds now, my poor baby. My question is, can these be transferred to humans or my dogs and cat? The vet said they are reptile specific and I shouldn't worry, but on the way out, the receptionist told me "remember to wash your hands after handling him because they can be transferred to humans!" I always wash my hands after handling him, but the point is, I was told two completely different things...?

Yes you certainly can get sick from at least some types of parasites. What meds. are your dragon being given ?

Panacur, ponazuril, and flagyl.

Wow, that covers a wide variety of things and hopefully he'll be cleared quickly. Flagyl alone works on many different types of parasites/amoebas/ trichomonas. It's good that your vet chose Ponazuril for coccidia because usually only 2-3 doses are needed. What is the dosing regimin that the vet has him on ?
