3-4 Month old Beardie

My Bearded dragons name is Toothless and I believe it may be a girl by not sure. I bought her from Petsmart in beginning of September. She's eating well, Phoenix worms, wax worms, Dubai roaches, crickets, squash, mustard greens, apples, grapes, some bearded dragon food by Mazuda and I give him calcium and a multi vit daily by rep-cal herptivite.

She seems stressed all the time and jumpy and always had stress marks unless out of tank with me. I bathe her daily because she's constantly shedding. I mean constantly! Her pool seems fine rarely diarrhea. I give her pedialyte often because she's dehydrated by the look of her skin (I do the pinch test to see if dehydrated) and she will take fluids from an eye dropper. Her tank is 55 gallons and her basking area is 110 and the cool side 82. I use a reptisun T8 tube bulb and it's mounted inside the tank about 6-7 inches away from her basking spot.

She was attacking her reflection so I made background out of foam and grout and put this up inside the tank and put up black vinyl cupboard sheets on the inside to block the reflection she was stressed over.

She seems very out of it. She often doesn't see her food up close and seems to be in a trance all the time like she's day dreaming. She alert when out of tank and very active but inside she just sits there and never leaves basking area. Last few nights I noticed her using her hide and going to bed hours earlier then before and tonight she did it right after eating dinner and I worry about her not digesting the wax worms I fed her. Didn't want to wake her just to stay under the uvb rays. Don't know how I should have handled that except for not to feed her later then 5 now.

II've taken her to a vet but it wasn't a herb vet and we are going to see a herb vet on Nov. 19th. He's top rated and used to work at the herb dept at Phoenix zoo. I'll have fecal testing done but then but is this behavior something I should worry about?

Is this trance like state normal? Do juveniles who are about 10 inches in length daze off and have problems finding their food?

, Dubai roaches, crickets, squash, mustard greens, apples, grapes, some bearded dragon food by Mazuda <<<< cut the commercial processed food - it's not good for them long term.
and I give him calcium and a multi vit daily by rep-cal herptivite.

I mean constantly! <<<<she's growing rapidly , this comes with the deal when you have a hatchling / very young beardie like your's , things will settle down, I'd cut back on the bathing unless she enjoys a good swim or splash about, frequent bathing is not needed for a bearded dragon .
Her pool seems fine rarely diarrhea. <<<< this is dietary consequence of the wax worms and commercial food you are feeding and perhaps she also has an parasitic infection in her gut / intestines - should be tested by an experienced reptile vet and treated if necessary.
I give her pedialyte often because she's dehydrated by the look of her skin (I do the pinch test to see if dehydrated) <<<< I have my doubts about the long term benefits of pedialyte for beardies, they should get sufficient hydration from the live bugs and greens and veg they eat and an occasion misting (or drops on the snout for them to drink)
and she will take fluids from an eye dropper. Her tank is 55 gallons and her basking area is 110 <<< too hot , back it off a bit to about 40 degCelsius and the cool side 82. I use a reptisun T8 tube bulb <<< is it a 10% UVB tube , and is there anything between the tube and the lizard ? and it's mounted inside the tank about 6-7 inches away from her basking spot.

Do juveniles who are about 10 inches in length daze off and have problems finding their food? <<< some are lazy , prefer to have their bugs come to them.

Sorry, I don't want to hijack the thread, but 110º for a baby's basking spot is too hot? I read that for a baby it is supose to be 105º-110º. Please correct me if I'm wrong, I just want to clear this up :D

Oh my gosh!! Thank you for all the information. I guess being a new beardie owner I read so much that I get a little worried and paranoid about her heath. I'll be at ease when I get her tested for parasites on the 19th. I use a reptisun 10 T8 bulb mounted inside the tank and nothing in between them.

So helpful. Thank you!!!

I recently asked what ages where considered baby, juvie and adult. The only answer I got was that a baby was up to 3m and 3-12m was juvie. If this is the case, then Toothless would be a juvie and max out at 105º for a basking temp.

Okay, that makes soon much more sense. Thanks!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
