2 Weeks with Ouros

SO I have had Ouros for a bit over 2 weeks, got him he was about 4" long...he is now just a smidge under 7".....did not know they grow this fast.

Feeding, Plants, I recently got him som cactus that I mince up for him and he eats some of it, he still prefers chard. I was told to try some soft squash in small amounts and perhaps some tomato by someone else who raises them. They said they use tomato in tiny amounts as treat about once a week.
Insect wise I am looking at getting some roaches....honestly after shipping...EVERYTHING is way more expensive the the 0.14 cents a cricket I get from the pet store (pet store also rushes and normally give me a extra 20-30 crickets). He slowed down to 5 crickets a meal while shedding but is back up to 7-15 3 times a day. I give him a few freeze dried meal worms (I know the issues but I have them, and I break them into pieces with tweezers and dust them with calcium powder) in his dish that he snacks on between live feedings beside his salad.

Behavior .... it is odd, but he works with me. I cam frustrated talking he seems to raise his hand up. He turns his head like he is paying attention when I talk. I found he seems to enjoy looking over my shoulder from his tank when I turn on anime. He will position himself on his perch to watch the screen when he would otherwise be better positioned to bask.

I noticed he throws a tantrum when I try to clean out his tank, not letting me try to take stuff out then running around it (40gallon terra front glass tank).

I also found him surfing the tank 2 days ago, either he picked up on my stress about the market or something else (he was shedding).....I tried calming him by petting him to no avail and he would not chill out to be held. But alas I found music....dang music helped...can he even understand it or hear it well? Guitar riff heavy stuff makes him start turning his head like trying to track it....I found Nightwish seemed to chill him out like it does me....and he went back to the rock under the heatlamp.

It sounds like you're getting into a good routine and are starting to get to understand eachother a bit =). I don't offer tomato to my dragon but offering a variety is a good idea. I like to reference this list for veg ideas http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html as far as cricket ordering goes, I used to order about 1,000 per month and it came out to around $35 with shipping I eventually moved to roaches because they are easier to care for and I needed much fewer bugs to feed an adult (so I wanted them to live easily with longer periods between feedings).

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
