1st Time Beardie Owner needs Help!! **new questions 1-4-11**

Whatever you want to do. It's easier to keep him contained when he's in the bathroom and there usually arn't a bunch of things in there that can hurt him unless he's on the counter. If you live with a guy, the floor area around the toilet is probably a little disgusting, but whatever you want. Puff seems to like carpet a little better, because it's easier for him to grip, but if he poops, it stains and then I loose my temper... lol I recently have been barracading him in the kitchen and putting a couple rugs on the floor that I don't like anymore... I put him there when I'm not planning on watching him, if he's with me, I'll pretty much let him where ever, but I have to watch him closely because I don't want him going under the couch or the lazy-boy, and i have 5 cats that would love to have him for dinner You really just need to do what ever you feel comfortable with...

Yaaayyy!! i picked him up and just held him for a while and brought him downstairs. Than i sat down and watched t.v and he fell asleep on my stomach ))) so cute

You two seem to be getting along awesome! I think holding him from underneath and supporting his whole body is what did the trick. Did you find any information about brumation?

A long hallway in your house is perfect, or spare room, this does really work if you live in an apartment =/

We have been getting along a LOT better. It makes having a bearded dragon so much more fun And no i didnt find anymore info

There are some articles on brumation... some are better than others... the top one is from bearded dragon.org. Hope you find them helpful! I would suggest buying a Bearded Dragon care book. They are at any pet store for like $10.00. I'd suggest "The Bearded Dragon Manuel" It's literally got everything you need to know about everything, and it's a hard copy so you canrefer back to it whenever you want.
