So here is every one of our reptilian family members, 13 beardies, 1 frilled dragon, 1 water dragon, 2 ball pythons and an iguana.
I have to go do military stuff for a couple weeks so I won't be able to do any more picture updates for a while. Maybe my wife will take some and keep us all updated. I leave early in the morning. I hate mornings. So not a morning person. Anyway enjoy the show. These are all our babies that will be with us for life... except the water dragon who will be with us till we find her a good home. Talk to you all soon. Take care and give all your babies a cricket or five for me.. :)

PICT1943.jpg

Yuki, just climbed down from her basking spot to hide in the shade, eye's still a little gunky and she's very weak, 5 min of exercise (like standing or sitting) and she's done.

PICT1944.jpg

Jester, guarding the house, making sure nothing cool happens out here that he needs to flip out and jog back and forth about. Norbert actually waved to him from across the room earlier today, odd since Norbert is 3 times Jesters size.

PICT1945.jpg

King! Sitting on the basking spot watching Jester waist energy. King knows he's the boss even though he's half Jesters size.

PICT1946.jpg

Patience, Karma's daughter and Rush's sister. Most mild mannered baby ever, but don't think she won't stay in the best basking spot. You can see her bad back, it's been curved like that since she was born but has never seemed to cause her any trouble or pain.

PICT1947.jpg

Rush... Patience's brother/alter ego and Karma's other baby. Always in a hurry but super loving.

PICT1948.jpg

Raven. Hiding and exploring in the bushes as usual, hates being picked up (evil beard).... but loves being held (beard goes away quick)...

PICT1949.jpg

Karma, the huge german giant on the right. Cuddliest living creature on the planet and my wifes baby. 2 1/2 years ago my wife got Jaden (the iguana) for me for my birthday. A month later I got Karma for her on her birthday.... see what happens, now suddenly we have 18 hairless children.
Jovia, lower left. Such a sweetheart, always happy, currently using Karma as a basking log (while i'm typing, not in the pic)

PICT1953.jpg

UnNamed. We just got him and haven't picked a proper name for him yet. He's lost his tail but not his personality. Always exploring.

PICT1954.jpg

UnNamed. Got him with the other short tailed guy. This boy only has 3 feet and a little nub. He's another sweetheart. He either waves with his little nub, or braces on a branch to wave with his hand. He gets around just fine with 3 feet. Hoping and climbing everywhere.

PICT1958.jpg

Honey Dew. She got her name from the color of her beard, beautiful dragon. She came with the two unnamed boys. Underweight but loves to eat so that should be quickly rendered. She's currently trying to sleep, I interrupted her for the pic.

PICT1957.jpg

NORBERT. Had to capitalize it cus he's so BIG! Bigger than Karma and Karma's huge. Such a jolly fellow. Like the santa claus of beardies. Another of our new family members. He's more like a dog, always begging to come out and play. Spent a couple hours on the porch with me today hanging out with neighbor kids and scaring neighbor adults by running at em (probably just to see if they had a treat)

PICT1959.jpg

Twitch. There just isn't the proper words to describe a beardie of his character. The only time this little energetic baby holds still is if he's unconscious. If he's not out cold, he's exercising and exploring and waving and jumping and inspecting and all the while checking his complete surroundings, all with sudden bursts of movement. The only thing he does at a normal speed, is wave. Everything else is lightning quick, thus the name... :) He's just a baby now but he's going to be great to hang out with when he's older.

PICT1960.jpg

Our water dragon. We're not going to keep her but we have to make sure she goes to a good home. We rescued her from Petco, she was semi healthy so we had to get her before Petco, or Petco's advice to a buyer killed her.

PICT1961.jpg

Tarigen. My baby. She was spastic as a baby but she's calmed down a lot. She's almost 2 1/2 now, I've had her about 2 years. In the car she likes to sit in the window with the window open and put her head out into the wind and look at herself in the rear view mirror (on a tight leash of course).

PICT1962.jpg

Knight. on the bottom. Hiding under the paper in the warm spot.
Fierce. on the top. These are our 2 ball pythons. Beautiful. Not fond of being held but they're both possible het for pied and albino so we're really hoping they make some beautiful babies.

PICT1963.jpg

Another pic of Jester and King, with of course, King being dominant and standing on Jester. They looked cute posing like this so I snapped this pic too.

PICT1964.jpg

Jaden. Last, but most certainly not least. Our first, and largest baby. Loves to explore (way more than our townhouse is prepared for). Really friendly but so much power she'll scrape up my arms. She's probably about to loose a few inches on her tail though. Our son accidently stepped on her tail and it's starting to turn black. This pic is of her sleeping on the second floor of her basking setup on the back porch. She gets a couple good hours of sun there in the evenings.

Hope you enjoyed our family. :)

Awwwww, what a happy family! :love5: I love them all!
Aww, thanks, so do we. I'm sure given the chance they'd love you too. I'm pretty sure we have one of the friendliest collections of reptiles. Cept the snakes, but that's my fault. I worked to much for a while to handle them enough and got tired of being bitten any time I did. Though the last few times I've held them (carefully, right after feeding) they've done just fine. I really need to start working with them more.

I have a ball (getting another in a week or so!), and I have gone many weeks without handling her and she's never so much as hissed. :? Well, I guess it varies from snake to snake. With my blood python... I go two days without handling him and he gets noticeably meaner.

I just can't get over the fact that you have 13 beardies... wow... that's pretty much my goal in life. :D

I don't know that the pythons will bite, they've bit me before though and even though it doesn't hurt at all, there's some human nature thing that refuses to not make you jump like hell when they do, no matter how many times it happens. For the last year every time I handle them I get a long sleeve and a glove so they didn't even try, I don't know if they've grown out of it or if it's because of the glove. But they're a hell of a lot bigger now so it might actually hurt now... :)

Yea, 13 is a lot. I took me almost half an hour just to run around and get new pictures of everyone for this post. Then it took me a whole hour to do a write up about them all.... I'm up all night packing for the army stuff but I gotta leave in a few hours and I'm mostly packed so I'm waisting the rest of my time here. Anyway 13 is a good number of beardies, there's always something going on and it's not too much to handle. Once we start breeding though it's going to get a lot more hectic. Between wife, children, reptiles, work, breeding beardies, college and army.... I might get some sleep once in a while.

I haven't been bit [yet], but I imagine the shock would be much worse than the pain. Anyways, once my blood gets big enough to hurt me, I'll definitely start wearing gloves, too!

Wow! How do you do it? Well, don't let me keep you! Good luck with everything!

Hah, umm.. I drink coffee from the time I wake up to the time I pass out.

hey there herpfreak, yea ball pythons are amazing when i got mine couple years back i tried handling him as soon as i got him but now i got more of them and nice morphs when i get a camera i will post pics, but when u get a new snake ur suppose to leave him in him new home for about a week and dont react wit him or pick him up caus ethey use a defensive bite to scar eu off since they are new to their home and once they figure out the scent and venture aorund u can feed him and new day or so u can start picken him up and u will notice he will be a heack of alot calmer. :p wow 13 beardies outstanding job and parenting congrats i only got 7

I can't tell you how happy you guys have made us! You are such wonderful beardie parents - Norbert couldn't have gone to a better home. He looks SO happy! And we love that you've picked up on his jolly personality and dog-like beardiness. Awww... how has he been? Has he been eating? Have you guys managed to get him to eat anything besides Bok Choy, crickets and worms? :D

I'm amazed!!! What a beautiful family you have! I'm guessing the ones that are missing tails/limbs are rescues; it'd be interesting to learn their stories one of these days.

Just thinking about how much work (and $$) they take, I'm getting exhausted and a bit overwhelmed, lol.

For some reason, lately I have been thinking a lot about getting an iguana...Jadens' pic is making me want to run out now and get one!

What a cute family :).. I love them frilled dragons! I wish I could have one but couldn't find enough information on them, have you ever seen her have that beard thing out? I'd love to see a picture if you have one!

I am SO with you! I'd love an ig, and there are so many rescues! Probably more ig rescues than beardie rescues... it's a darn shame igs need so much space. :(

Yeah, I mentioned the Iguana idea and it was shot down by the family; I guess we have enough pets for now!
What's sad is that we have the space; just not the time, energy, or money. :(
But if an Ig rescue situation comes up, like it did with Leela - then that might change some minds and hearts to see what we can do.

And :blob8: PLEASE :blob8: see my Cool Iguana Pics thread - I am encouraging (pleading, really) for people to post their Ig pics - apparently, I'm not the only one who has to enjoy them vicariously through others!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
