16 week old dragon, almost 15" 158 grams?????????

I seem to have a big boy.... but is this ok? This is my first beardie so I am not sure if it is healthy for him to be growing this fast. He is a German Giant mix. Advise would really be appreciated. Thanks

I think that sounds ok, you'll most likley have a BIG boy like you said! Bea is 3 Months 109 grams since yesturday and almost 14 inches and she has no German Giant blood line and her brother I was told weighs more but is not as big. I know what you mean though i was comparing her size to other beardies at 3 months it's a good feeling to know you got a big beardie :mrgreen: Thats just my two cents.

I love that he is big just wanted to be sure its ok. I know about dogs getting to big too fast is a bad thing so i thought I should check.

Thanks! Im trying to see pictures of yours but havent came across any in your post other that the Enclosures thread, any link? I honestly dont think she'll be that big maybe 20 inches max her parents are 19 and 18 inches I can be wrong though I just dont think so because she has no German Giant in her, she's just a pig!

Wow I bet he will be big then, and for feeding she gets a varied diet every day she likes Mustard and Collard greens, and Dubias and Crickets although she's picky about her Dubias and will only want about 8-10 crickets then she demands her Dubias! I also have about 150 SuperWorms that im trying to breed because I think it's almost time for those.

I want to get dubias but I havent yet.... I can't stand crickets anymore!!!! Where did you get yours from?

I got Zig some small supers. Bought babies and smalls and as the grow they are the perfect size. He LOVES them.

I hate crickets too! There too loud for me and smell and plus it's a bit hard for the beardies to hunt them down.

I get my roaches from Theroachguy.com, they had some pretty good deals at the reptile show in Anaheim too.

I went on craigslist and found some one in the area breeding Dubai’s. I emailed her and then called the number she left me. We ended up talking about reptiles for over an hour the first phone call. A couple days later I went out there to see her and her husband. Her mom lives out by me and she had some stuff she needed dropped off so I did her a favor and she gave me roaches. So I ended up with 116 adult females and many more juvys and males than I know what to do with. The females and males alone probably over $80-100 to buy off line. Plus I made a good friend in the process. Also since I did her a favor she gave me a tupper ware 2.5gal container full of meals worms and breeding beetles!

So all in all I would recommend trying to find some one in your area with roaches before buying the costly things. Plus you may make a friend in the process.
