120 DEGREES!!!!????

I just cleaned out Miss Buddy's cage and put her in there. I came back earlier and looked at the thermometer, it said 120 DEGREES!!!!???? I have no idea why!! My poor baby. I took her out and let her cool down. Let me go check it again........

Ok, it said 100. Maybe it had something to do with where it was? At first it was on one wall, on the warm side, then I moved it to the other wall on the warm side. Does anyone know why it did this??

You should get a good non contact thermometer. I got mine at lowes and it's very accurate. A lot of them only read correct temps if you have it at a certain distance from the object. Usually about 2".
Mine reads about any length. It was about $30 some odd dollars. We'll worth it for it to give accurate temps. I have found all the little plastic gauges you see for sale are off by a good margin.
