I have a question about older bearded dragons and eggs. I have a 12 year old female bearded dragon I inherited about a year ago. She laid eggs once when she was 4 or 5 years old, and suffered prolapse at the time. I was told she prolapsed one other time a few weeks later but has been fine since. Right now I have a 2 year old female bearded dragon across the room form the 12 year old, most of the time I keep a room divider between them so they can't see each other, but I still think they know another beardie is in the area. the 2 year old has laid 3 clutches of eggs this season, and to my shock, the 12 year old laid over 20 eggs just a few weeks ago! I didn't think she could even lay eggs any more. Do any of you have any experience with old lady beardies laying eggs? Is this normal? It took her about a week to regain her strength, but she finally seems back to her old self, hopefully she won't make any more!
