I posted this under feeding but no one answered me yet and I was wondering what I should do......

Here lately my beardie seems to be eating his crickets a little slower he still eats the 15 per feeding but he just seems to be eating them slower and slower. He doesn't seem to be eating his greens as much either. Could this be that the crickets are to big for him (they are not bigger then between his eyes but they are probably the biggest he has been getting). Or is he going to start the swap from wanting crickets and wanting more greens? He does not look like he is going to shed either.

As they get older, they will naturally eat less bugs and more greens, so your little guy is probably starting to transition. :)
He could also be eating less, because of the seasons changing and what not. My 9 month old has hardly eaten anything during the winter, and I know that alot of other beardies are the same way. As long as he isnt losing weight or anything, dont worry.

Have you tried feeding him any thing other than crickets? He might just be bored of them too.

No I haven't tried anything else besides crickets.... He ate like a champion during the winter but I figured that was because he was to young to go into brumation. I guess I will keep an eye on it I was just wondering because it was weird how he has just started slowing down I didn't know if I should offer less each feeding or what would be best.

It is normal for them to start cutting themselves back on the protein at 10 mos old but I would continue to feed him all he wants, he will stop when he's had enough. It would be a good idea to offer some other feeders as they can get tired of crickets. We certainly wouldn't want to have the same thing day after day so a variety is good.

Well the weird thing was I put him in his food bin today and he ate about 2 or 3 and tried climbing out. So I took him out and held him and he got squirmish so I put him back in and he ate them like they were nothing.

Also I feed him crickets non stop because I had it figured out that he goes through 1500 a month. What are the worms that are the safest to feed him? I know some people don't like feeding to many of some type of worm (dont remember which)

Hornworms are a good worm for young beardies...they grow quickly though so watch out! I order from great lakes. Also you may be able to start superworms depending on the length and size of your guy. If you search on here you can find out the recommended length and size they need to be. I was thinking 16 inches but I'm not sure on that.

My guy is around 17-18 inches

I just checked and most people recommend they be at least 16 inches so your guy should be fine on small to medium superworms. Again I really like dealing with greatlakeshornworms.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
