1 year vegatarians

okay so i thought i was doing everything right for maxwell..hes fat and happy and has never had a parasite.but i have heard from two different people that since max is two he should not be eating meats? is this true as of right now here is maxwells set up..
75 gallon tank
tile flooring
hot side stays about 95 cool side about 70
he has a 150 watt zoo med uvb light for heat and uvb
a reptisun 10 for uva
he gets 5 king size meal worms a day with a few things of red lettuce and every three days he gets some liquid calcium i try to give him the full amount of a quarter tablespoon but he usually runs off before hand i have tried to make max a vegatarian and he gets really mad and refususes to eat till he sees meat..so is it ok for max to have meat after one year of age ..i also forgot to note he gets a bath everyday where he poops in the tub for me

Dragons need protein throughout their lives and adult shoud be getting 80% veggies 20% protein.

Hi,

yes he should continue to eat meat for the rest of his life. An adult bearded dragon should be eating 80% veg and 20% meat. You should be dusting his live food with calcium 3x a week and vitamins 1-2 x a week.

Some good staple veggies are Collard Greens, Mustart Greens, Squash (grated), Turnip Greens. Avoid anything with lettuce in the name as they are full of water and not nutritious.

My wife gets mad if I poop in the tub.
