Update on my 5" long nameless dragon. It is becoming very active and alert and when i come home from work it catches sight of me and starts to do a few "donuts" in this viv. It is then that he gets his salad, he gets all excited till he sees what it is then goes back to basking. He still is not eating anything but gets a daily bath that he seems to enjoy and i have seen him drink from his bath water. I did have to try this buritto thingy that a few of you have talked about. An hour before his lights out he spends with me on my chest, does the little bum shuffle and goes to sleep. Time for bed, wrapped him in a small blanket, head only sticking out, and put him on one of his favorite rocks. He did not budge, opened peepers for just a second to see where he was and then went back to sleep. This morning when left for work i turned on his sun and he was still in the same position. I thought that was odd and funny. My wife asked me last night if i was going to start singing a lullaby to him each night.
Since he is not eating anything yet i tried him on some chicken and veggie baby food i asked my wife to buy for him. I mixed a bit of calcium into it and he tasted it, but was not interested. Although he is showing signs of being more active he has not eaten since day 1, he has been in his new home a week today.
Dawn and Jeff from this site have assured me that this is normal behavior for a baby in a new home, so i guess it's just me that is overly concerned. I just do not understand how a breathing animal can go so long without any food.

Cage temps are a good appetite stimulant. I keep my basking areas a little on the hot side 110-115 for young dragons. Keep some greens available in the cage, and only a few feeders at a time. I'm not sure how much cage decoration there is but I would keep it at a minimum so he can hunt easily. Is he pooping?

If he's pooping then he's eating when you're not looking. Clean up the poo as soon as you see it so you can keep track.

I have an awesome red dragon who ate very little the first month, but he kept making little poops, and eventually I saw him eat. He turned out awesome but not without worry.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
