Today, it has been one month since Wave came to live with us.
It seemed like a good day to make her a special treat for breakfast.
She loves eggs, but has only had them once before. So I thought - why not make her a layer cake, with egg as the base? I made an egg, cut two large slices out, and layered the middle with peppers (another of her favorites), dandelion greens, strawberry, and blueberry (I know, tasty, right?):
I chopped up half of it (the whole thing seemed like waaaaay too much for one 3-month-old dragon!), and added a few micro supers and some calcium powder:
And the results?
"What's this?"
"It's... moving...?"
"It... might be edible...?"
"GO GO GO!"
Pure dragon satisfaction. I think she liked it!
(She didn't finish it, not surprisingly. I've left it in there for her to snack on for a little while longer.)
The best part? She had dark stress marks when she got up this morning (she's shedding, and irritable). By the end of eating, they were gone!
