I have this mounted in there just feel like not enough uvb coming down idk i Don't see many people mount an actual hood inside the tank

The way my tank is I have very minimal amount of screen so I can't mount fixture on top it has to go inside

Everyone says to go to Walmart and get the cheap one but I've been to 4 Walmarts and none have it. I've gone to lowes , Home Depot , and ace hardware along with some specialty light store. I can't find a 24inch t8 fixture that plugs into the wall. Found a bunch that have to be hard wired though...

I get what he's saying I didn't really think about that but yes it definitely has to be slightly to the side or it would be under the basking light kind of a dumb question on my part haha

Ill make sure I put it at 7 inches and I actually do have a branch I can add.

It is a t8 fixture. Reptisun 10.0 t8. I was using a mega ray mvb before but it wasn't hot enough and he always asked under the spot lamp I paired with it to get correct temps . So i decided to go tube light paired with spot lamp with a dimmer.

Thanks for the advice. Idk what was going on but he ended up just yesterday eating everything I dropped for him. Almost 30 Dubia. Then another 15 later on. Today he's eaten probably 10 on his first feeding and I'll try later. Looks a lot better now.

It's a 40 gallon. Basking area is 108 and cool side is 81, I'm using an acurite with probe. Mega ray is 100 watts

I've had my dragon for about 3 weeks now and for the first week he didn't eat much and I figured it was because I had one of those compact uv lights after doing some research so I switched to mega mvb and he started doing better but he'd only eat hornworms and butter worms not crickets and not...

. Here is how the top of it is. So as you can see I'm pretty limited. I think I will try getting the flood light , lowering the basking area and mounting a uvb inside the tank because I can't get my basking area above 98 right now or it starts heating up the cool side to 92.
