Bearded Dragon Ate Styrofoam; tips to weather the weekend?

Wonderful information, thank you both so much. I haven't fed him today because I was worried and confused about what to do. Definitely go feed him now and get all the suggested oils and baby foods tomorrow morning. Thanks again!

Bath two hours before bed? Cold before bed?

My bearded dragon ate a piece of expanding foam. Warm baths were suggested to help him pass it. My question is, would it be okay to give him a bath tonight (9:30pm) if it's over with by 10pm and his lights go out at 12am? 12am is normal for him. Would that be enough time for his body...

Bearded Dragon Ate Styrofoam; tips to weather the weekend?

My 15" bearded dragon ate a pretty sizable chunk of styrofoam that was right outside his enclosure. It was a round piece of Great Stuff expanding foam, between the size of a nickel and a quarter (but round like a ball, not disc-shaped like a coin). I grabbed him to get it out of his mouth but he...

Alternative methods to water crystals to hydrate dubias?

What are popular methods to keep dubias hydrated aside from using water crystals? I realize that is a very broad question with several answers, so could anyone offer insight into how they do their own colony personally? Thank you if you can.

    Do water crystals go toxic?

I see... I think I'll switch off crystals. I'll save them for when my family pet-sits for me and need easy procedures to keep the feeders hydrated. Thank you for all the info!

Should I pull loose shed off my dragon?

All right, thank you both :)

Should I pull loose shed off my dragon?

As you can see, the shed can be pulled off with very little resistance. I gave him several baths this week to help; his head shed turned flakey and just fell off. Should I wait for the rest of it to turn dry and flake off on its own, or is it okay if I cautiously help him? It's been turning dark...

Confused after vet visit about Calcium

This helped me a lot. I need to switch to calcium without D3, too, and alternate between with D3 and without D3.

    Bearded dragon morph

He is super cute! How long have you had him? My baby only ate a few crickets on the first and second day before he felt safe in his new home, then he ate at least 15 a day and pooped bigger than his head every night lol.

    Do water crystals go toxic?

Heard at a pet store that water crystals become toxic when they dry out. Is this true? I have a pitcher full of expanded crystals soaking in water. Could go toxic even if they don't dry up? They've been there for about a week.

Is a heat pad the best way to heat Dubia breeders?

5 males and 15 females are housed in a 19 gallon black Sterilite container. The house stays at 78 F constantly. They may be breeding already - I saw the red egg sac things on the females' rears. Either way, I bought a 10-20 heat pad, but I need to somehow attach a rheostat to it... the same...

    Can I mix 1000 3/8" with 300 3/4" Dubias? & other questions

I have a large, 30 gallon Rubbermaid container that houses 1000 tiny 3/8" dubias that came in a couple weeks ago. (they grow fast!) Today, I got in an order of 300 3/4" dubias. On top of that, I have 5 males and 15 females in a large, black 40 gallon container. Should I put the new 3/4" ones in...

Why bathe a dragon? How to encourage him to drink water?

Good tips... larger bowl, cooler water, and sprinkling vegetables with water. I tried the eye drop method before, doesn't seem to work. Thanks!

Frequent diarrhea, eating less, dirty vent, less responsive

Wow! Anyone else agree about the gender? I can post a picture lifting "his" tail in the morning... he was identified as male by the breeder, dachiu dragons. Aries used to gape a lot when he only had one basking spot (the 117 F on wooden plank) but now, he has lots of basking levels to choose...

Why bathe a dragon? How to encourage him to drink water?

My bearded dragon never seems to drink water. When I bathe him, he just gets stressed out and scrambles constantly to get out of the bowl. The water temperature is 90-96 F and the water level is about up to his belly. What is the advantage to giving dragons baths if they don't drink during...

Frequent diarrhea, eating less, dirty vent, less responsive

My 13" juvenile bearded dragon Aries hasn't been himself lately. There are 3 main problems. These problems started about 3 weeks ago, when I left him in the care of my family and found out his main basking platform was moved to an area where it got 90 F at most for about a week. He stopped...
