    Another Yellow Fungus Case

Wow it looks completely gone! So happy for you. Hove she continues to improve. On a somewhat unrelated note, how do beardies get yellow fungus? I read it is in the environment and if that's the case I am a little apprehensive of letting him roam my yard. I even made a clover patch just for him...

    Are my building materials safe?

Finally got enough time on my hands to finish my enclosure. Here are some pics, as you can tell by the second pic I fabricated some brackets to mount the reptisun hood inside.

    Dubias

When you say "bigger than the space between their eyes" are you talking about how long the roach is or how wide? My beardie eats roaches that are no wider than the space between his eyes but if I measure the roach length wise they are usually bigger than his eyes and he scarfs them down with no...

    Are my building materials safe?

Shields all seems to be very popular here and seems to be fairly safe. I have not personally used it yet but I plan on doing so for my next viv. The only thing I dislike about mod podge is that if your beardie has an accident on it and you try to clean it you will remove a lot of it. Mod podge...

    Burping/Mouth opening after eating?

Sorry to revive this old thread but dint want to start a new one on the same topic. I am fairly new to beardies and mine has started to do this after he eats as well. Is this normal? I am a bit paranoid that it might be an URI or something. To the original poster, has your beardie continued...

    Lighting Help for Newbies (:

Question regarding basking light color temp. So I keep reading that the color of the basking light should be around the 5500K -6500K to simulate daylight. My question is where can I get these? The one I use now and most of the ones I see at the pet stores are warm tones. The one I am using now...

what are these gray marks under his mouth

Nope, that's the first thing I tried. I then used a soft bristled toothbrush and rubbed it with water and nothing. He is inside his hide sleeping now and don't want to bother him so I'll see how it looks in the morning. The only other thing worth mentioning is that he is on meds for parasites...

what are these gray marks under his mouth

This afternoon I noticed these strange gray marks between his scales around the lower part of his mouth and jaw. I did not notice them there this morning. Is this normal or should I be worried.

    Are my building materials safe?

Well no one responded but that's ok because I did tons of research and found what seems to be a safe product that's actually made specifically for reptiles. It's the ECOS reptile enclosure paint, here's a link, https://www.ecospaints.net/ecos-reptile-enclosure-paint.html

    Are my building materials safe?

Bumping this with another question. Keeping in mind the temp inside a viv, what sealer for plywood would best withstand the heat inside and still not be toxic? Or would a better option be to use some kind of paint?

    Are my building materials safe?

Hello all, so like the tittle says I just want to make sure my building materials are not going to harm my beardie. I also would like to know what you guys think it's safer, to paint the inside of plywood or seal it. I don't care about aesthetics. I just want my beardie to be safe. Here's a...

I did put some wate drops on his snout right after I took him out but he dint bother drinking it. I got the temp back to a reasonable number and put him back in. He then went to his hide and fell asleep an hour earlier than usual. I have one more question that I need clarified. Should my...

    Basking temp was extremely hot

My AC quit working while I was at work and as soon as I got home I went upstairs to check up on stitch as I always do. I was shocked to see his hot side temp was 140f! And he was just hanging out at his log with no problem. I took him right out and he seemed alright, alert, and wanting to...

    Newby advice

Hello everyone, just like the tittle says I am new to beardies and reptiles for that matter. I got Stitch, my 1-2 month beardie from a reptile store here in Dallas TX called DFWREPTARIUM about a week ago. He is eating about 20 dubia roaches a day but I am still working on the vegies. Here's my...

    Texas sage?

I have read they can eat sage but I haven't been able to find anything specific about Texas sage. I have several of these plants in my yard and was wondering if I could let my 2 to 3 month little guy munch on the flowers and leaves. Here's a link of what the plant looks like...

    Help with styrofoam inside enclosure

Ok thank you for the reply, I know it should be fine on the parts that I covered with grout and mod podge but I was just wondering about the parts that I did not cover such as the back and bottom sides that are not visible or accesible to the dragon.
