    Sand for my cage?

Okay so right now my beardie is on a mat but I absolutely hate the mat. I had it at first because I know young small dragons shouldn't have sand because of digestive issues along with other things. My beardie is 11 inches now and j want to get sand. So I just recently got my beardie Elliot and I'm kind of new-second night with him to be exact- he's been great. I've been monitoring temps all day and he's been perfect. I reduced heat for night time and turned off the uv bulb. Well now he's acting really weird. He keeps climbing on his basking...
